Andrea Renkas
Fit MOM Founder and Lead Instructor, ACE Personal Trainer, Pregnancy & Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, Barre Above Certified Instructor, US Army Veteran
In 2004, Andrea (Drea) joined the Army National Guard as a Junior in High School. In 2009, she was deployed to Iraq for a year. During her time overseas, she discovered she loved instructing fitness classes after she had the opportunity to teach a few during her limited downtime.
After returning from Iraq in 2010, she taught boot camps, strength, and cycling classes at the YMCA and AAC Xcel Sports. In October 2013, Andrea and her husband Mike gave birth to their first son (Kaden - the inspiration for Fit MOM!), she quit her job at a local hospital, and became a SAHM while continuing to teach fitness classes.
In January 2016, Andrea and Mike welcomed their second son, Tristan. Having two has really taught her that she needs to meet and rely on fellow moms even more!
Outside of teaching, she loves being outside, making memories with family, reading, watching her sons grow and learn, traveling, camping, and hanging out with her sister and best friend Britney! She is easily bribed with homemade chocolate chip cookies and it is always down for a good chai latte with friends.
